Elon Musk took over twitter which is an "American Company" which was founded by Jack Dorsey.  Elon musk reached an agreement to buy Twitter roughly for 44 billion USD on April 25 , 2022 in which under the deal twitter shareholders will receive $54.20 in cash for each share of Twitter. Twitter, Inc. is an American communications company based in San Francisco, California. The company operates the microblogging and social networking service Twitter. It is an online micro blogging service for distributing short messages among group of recipients via personal computer or mobile telephone. It was created by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz stone and Even Williams in March 2006 and launched in July 2006 . By 2012, more than 100 million users posted 340 million tweets a day, and the service handled an average of 1.6 billion search queries per day. Twitter has become internationally identifiable by its signature bird logo or the Twitter bird named as “Larry”.

Elon Musk was born in South Africa in 1971. He is the co-founder and leader of Tesla , SpaceX , Neuralink and The boring company. He is also the richest and one of the most powerful person in the world according to both the Bloomberg Billionaires Index and the Forbes real-time billionaires list with an estimated net worth of almost 252 billion USD. Musk was named one of the 75 most influential people of the 21st century by Esquire magazine. In 2013, Musk was named Fortune's "Businessperson of the Year" for SpaceX, Solar City, and Tesla Motors. He was listed among the Time magazine's 100 most influential people in 2010, 2013 ,2018 and 2021 . He was selected as the Time's “Persons of the year” for 2021.

Why Elon Musk Acquired Twitter ?

- Twitter had a big problem of freedom of speech which Elon Musk wanted to solve. Twitter says with very much of confidence that it's main objectives has always been to promote safe , inclusive and authentic “conversations” but many times , we have always seen a distinct bias on twitter.

 Many times , hate filled narratives, false propaganda's against a specific person, institution, government body by the leftist become very popular on twitter and twitter never opposes that quoting "Freedom of speech". Twitter never understands that it creates almost a very negative environment in the world and often people fall by their false propaganda . Even twitter founder Jack Dorsey also accepted that they are sometimes bias and more "left leaning".

 For eg. Twitter had banned the account of former president of the United States "Donald Trump " on other hand Taliban’s Twitter handle is still active ! 

 

- One of the major reason is also that Elon musk can control the financial market of the world ! He is the most popular financial influencer in the world with over 97 million followers on Twitter. People can blindly take any decision on his one tweet and that has also become a matter of concern and that's why he need to take the permission of Securities and Exchange commission (SEC) for any financial advising tweet he makes. Moreover he has a hardcore influence on the people and often his tweets make a crypto currency price go "Up "and "down" voluntarily within seconds ! He almost controls the Crypto Market of the world which indirectly can generate and destroy millions and billions of wealth. He can also use Twitter as his personal marketing platform for this other companies like Tesla, SpaceX etc.

- He also wanted to "Open Source" the Twitter's Algorithms because he thinks that by doing that it will increase the trust between the people.

- He wanted the old accounts who were banned should be completely restored, providing freedom of speech to everyone.

- Elon musk has also stated that twitter will provide Ad- Free premium services.

- One of the main objectives of Elon Musk's twitter takeover was to eliminate the twitter spam bots and he will take strict action to remove all the spammers from it.

4 April He bought 9.2% share in twitter. 

5 April Twitter CEO announced musk as board member .

14 April He offers to Pay 54.20 USD per share to buy 100% twitter in an all cash deal.

15 April Twitter Adopted "poison pill strategy".

24 April Twitter board held discussion with the musk.

25 April Finally "Elon musk took over the Twitter for 44 billion USD" !

My Conclusion :- 

I generally use Twitter to see the tweets of all the politicians, celebrities and news journals. I get see what the whole world is thinking and what are the matter of "hot topics". Sometimes there are also trolls and people getting mentally affected because of it. I think this deal will make Twitter once again a "neutral platform" in the world where everyone can freely keep their point and somehow trolls are reduced by blocking the spammers. Elon Musk is considered as one of the most "genius persons" and his influence on people is very wide and huge so people can trust him as he has also tweeted once that “even his worst critics should be on Twitter because that's the freedom of speech.” I think he will surely stand on his commitments and will make twitter less toxic and less prone to false news and fake narratives.
